We have discussed Gabriel's requirements for book covers before, I'm sure - almost certainly in a podcast - but when he was telling me about a new Alastair Reynolds book, I did a quick search for the man and saw this:

I would say that we won't do it again, by which I mean continue to intricately stitch Gabriel's "potent" original IP, but I can't do that in good conscience. This is because I didn't mean to touch on it even one more time and indeed wrote a comic shaming the very concept of the excursion itself, and it happened anyway!

One of the new features on the site is the ability to make comments on each other's posts, something we used to do a long time ago, and the way it's been put together by Gavin has the look of a chat conversation. Hopefully it delivers the intended voyeuristic thrills while it's delivering… whatever else it might deliver.

The strip is utterly true - both in terms of the theft of his card, what they attempted to purchase, and the simple techniques you can use to secure treasures in abundance. Imagine that there is a groove worn in Gabriel's digital identity. If you steal his card, just live deep down in that rut, where rain collects. If you eat nothing but "Carl's Junior" and build Gunpla, they won't even know you exist.

I was cleaning out an ild DropBox account today that I have not looked at in years and I discovered a bunch of Thornwatch work. 

Gabriel wanted very much to resolve the rich narrative tapestry we had woven with our potent Playlate Saga, now fully four strips in length. He had no opportunity to destroy my device eye are elle because that would involve leaving his subterranean bunker, which is something a professional might call a "non-preferred activity."

Thursday night is race night for the Penny Arcade iRacing League! Tonight we head to the USA International dirt track for some stock car racing. 

I mean, I think that's about it. Right? That we can find each other on there, or embroider meaningful relationships, or wade through the signal to noise ratio is a testament to us.

It was Noah’s 12th birthday yesterday and what he really wanted to do was take to the seas as a family and get some treasure! My oldest son Gabe offered to take us all on the Legend of the Veil voyage which is only available to players who have attained the rank of Pirate Legend. It’s a three part voyage with a cool story and a boat load of treasure.

Kara and I are hooked on the new Moon Knight series so I took a couple hours last week to do some fan art.

I got the in-flight Internet thing to take my mind off this lady next to me on the plane. Between incredibly productive coughs, she either

- Blows her nose into the same, singular tissue she's been blowing into for the last four hours and then literally gazes meaningfully at her fucking snot, like some tubercular haruspex, or

- Eats M&Ms out of a sock.

Even though I’m home this week, yesterday I was able to take control of the Ohmni Robot that is in the Child’s Play booth at PAX East. I had a great time driving it around and meeting people but the real reason it’s there is so that we can let kids in Children’s Hospitals explore PAX!

Today's strip relates a crime that is even now in progress. I hope that there's a frightfully specific arm of the constabulary I can call to resolve this quickly - one that specializes in damage done, by your friends, to your most yellow toys. I need pinpoint expertise here to bring this thing to a swift conclusion.

After fifteen years of going to PAX I had to take a little time off just for my own mental health. I am not a convention goer by nature and being around big groups of people takes a lot out of me. So I’m not physically at PAX East with you all this week but I will be there in robot form!
